Geforce 8400M GS Freeze

Hi there,

I got an Acer Aspire 5720Z (Laptop) with nVidia 8400M GS 256MB video card. My current driver supplier is nVidas software downloaded from Microsoft Update for Windows XP. As stated, im using Windows XP SP3 Beta. To the problem:

It freezes every hour or more, really no standard action or time concluded, it just freezes, can see that perhaps when used alot of video memory it freezes, cause, happens more frequently when playing games etc. I know for sure its the video driver, I deactivated the driver with no freezes whatsoever within a 2 days time. SP2 or 3 doesn't matter, the same happened with SP2.

The Acer came with Vista originally, therefor Acer would not givea me any kind of support. I cannot find any other driver on their support page other than for Vista which is again a nVidia.

Iv searched Google, this forum and many other forums with no results, read Acer support topic and FAQ.

So im hoping someone here can help, know what to do? Fix, change driver? Im in for every suggestion. If you need more information about specs, please ask, ill happily share.
