Valkirie
I told em I was having graphical issues, poor performace and that my LCD had missing pixels... they replaced my LCD and GFC card....Funny addition to the story... Dell is now replacing my whole system :) So im getting a brand new one in 5-7 buisness days... which is nice.. How many days before you received the new one ? And all the things you told us was real ?

Valkirie
Ok dudes, i contacted dell and they will send me a new card soon... Let's hope i got good 8600M GT this time !
Guest ziggo0
Valkirie...The BIOS you linked to, can you elaborate on exactly what you've done to it as far as what model 8600m GT you have, what notebook you run it in and do you have any way to prove that the 3D Voltage actually changed from 1.2v to 1.7v???? 1.7v should hurt his card. I tried changing mine from 1.2v to 1.3v and there was zero change. * Memory TYPE (DDR2 - DDR3): DDR2 (Bottom side memory passively cooled). * GPU: 550 * Memory Frequencies: 1200/475 * Modded Inf: Yes * Drivers: 169.04 * Temperature: 60C Idle, 85 ~ 90C Load * Stability: 110% * Tools used: RivaTuner * Tweaks or things Enable/Disable: VSync is always off. Valkirie
You're right, that was not hurting card, only killing it, mine get killed, but get replaced this morning. ------------------------------------------------------ I've removed the link. Anyway, my new card allow me to get to: 625/525 Full stability. Anyway, changing the voltage wont boost your perf but only allow you to get far in the overclocking or to help the stability. I'm gonna try some new voltage, but will never raised 1.4volt. Why not trying some things. Unleash the 8600M GT firestorm !

Ripclaw
Hi to everyone! I'm trying to overclock my GPU with Rivatuner but I'm facing the famous nvlddmkm.sys error in 3DMark06 and in video games! As I can see some guys' here vBIOS version is 60.84.50.00.02, but mine is 60.84.41.00.18. Could someone please tell me where I can find this version in order to give it a try? Also I would like to know what are your settings in nVidia control panel.Last question:in my control panel driver version is listed as 6.15.11.6909 although it's actually 7.15.11.6909. Does this also happen to you? Sorry for posting in this topic but you guys have succssefully overclocked your GPU, so I want to try the same configuration as you to find out if this also works for me! Any help appreciated!! Thanks in advance!! Edited January 8, 2008 by Ripclaw

Falco
Hey I've got a problem, the frequencies of my 8600M GT are slower than yours, and they are not stable as you can see This is at the beginning, then it's stable for 5min and then it begins again. What is the problem ? I've got the DDR3 version, and the default drivers, 156.53 on the Dell XPS M1530 Edited January 12, 2008 by Falco

Guest ziggo0
Nice! You got yourself a GDDR3 card now huh? I ordered one for my C90S and it arrived today. Been playing with it ever since. I get mad artifacts at 550/800 if I don't have my fan on at 12v which is extremely loud. I'm working on getting around that...still using the stock driver of 101.17, bad I know. I'll move up, just testing for now :]
