Guest Ed
Hey can anyone tell me what the best drivers are to play Bioshock? Have a Dell Inspiron 9400 running XP and a Go 7900 GS. Tried a couple of different ones but keeps crashing to BSOD. I've read some posts here talking about the 163.44 driver but I can't seem to find it on this site..... DeeGee35
Hi, I've just got Bioshock running very nicely on my GeForce Go 7900 GS with driver 169.21. Chose 169.21 after selecting the desktop 7900 GS card from the nvidia beta driver guide http://www.nzone.com/object/nzone_bioshock_downloads.html This directed me to use 169.21 (for a desktop card) and then I came here. My system: Toshiba Satellite P100 (PSPA6A-01J017), WinXP 32bit, Intel Core 1.83 GHz, 1GB RAM. Everything on the Orange Box still runs nicely as well. I've had unsuccessful experiences with a couple of other drivers and modded .infs in the past so I wasn't hopeful this time around. However, everything appears to be working well so far. For anyone trying to overcome their anxiety about mucking around with their display drivers, I would say the FAQ are excellent, with a couple of short additions to the actual quickstart guide - I made sure I had a copy of my existing display driver (Toshiba's last supported driver is 84.00 (!) from here http://www.isd.toshiba.com.au/71/live.dll/...p;x=17&y=11 - uninstall that driver using add/remove programs via the control panel - install with modded inf as per faq/quickstart guide Regards
