bios editing... changing GFX card name and ID an issue?

Hi all,

Ive got a Quadro FX2500M in my lappy right now, and since its basically a Geforce 7900GTX, i was thinking i could save myself the hassle of everytime having driver issues by just changing the ID of the device, and its name, to that of a 7900 GTX via bios editing.

Using the nvidia bios editor it would be a breeze, but i thought id check with the community to see what your opinions are?
