Tailgun
I was only just referred to this site by a fellow online gamer in EVE. I have been having real trouble updating my graphics card through Dell and took the time to read the Quickstart Guide here. It seems to indicate that I'd be best served with a 70s series driver, but I am not sure. Another thread seemed to recommend 84.30. I currently am experiencing frequent crashes and lockups while gaming and would like to be certain I've made the right choice. Guest Guest
I am also curious about a good set of drivers for the 6800 Go on my Inspiron 9300. I can't seem to get a decent framerate on the Orange Box even on lower resolutions. I'm not sure if I should go with the latest or stick with the Dell drivers. Right now I have the dell drivers and seem to be pretty slow. Strangely, putting AA to 4x instead of 2x gives me a higher framerate. Not sure what is going on. SymphonyX
Try the 169.04 drivers from this forum. It's currently the best for my laptop. I'm using a Geforce Go 6600 though but it should have similar results since our GPUs are similar in architecture.
Guest Guest
I've got the xps gen 2 with the 6800 ultra and am using the 169.28 and are very satisfied. If you're getting a lot of crashes and blues screens I'd recommend checking the temperature of the card. I've had to go through 3 before I got one that didn't malfunction...
