Carlovfx
Hi all, first post for me on this forum :P I have a 8600M GT 256MB on my Inspiron 1720 and i get only around 1800 score on 3D Mark06 1.1.0! I overclocked my gpu to 650/500 and there are not errors, i can play UT3 and Crysis with no artifacts, but i've seen on other forums that someone gets 2900 or even 3200 score! How is possible??? My system is freshly formatted, i use 169.09 drivers with mod INF from laptopvideo2go, rivatuner to overclock. I didn't touch any strange option on rivatuner, i simply overclocked. I have a 160GB 5200rpm HD partitioned. Can it be the partitioned disk? Sounds strange to me... :) I run Vista Home Premium 32bits. I experience something like 5fps more on 3D Mark06 with the overclock, is it normal??? If you can help me i'll be grateful. Thanks in advance :)

Maybe i have to insert the battery?

Guest Alcoholic_cow
hi, I also have the 8600 GT with 256 mb but I get a score of 4360. OC : 530/1080/830 max temp is only 1 or 2 degrees higher then without the OC In the beginning I used 600/1200/500 but that gave me a lower score maybe you can set your memory higher like mine do you have the ddr2 or ddr3 version? what was your default setting ? mvvg, AA

I solved the problem, i was not benchmarking even CPU, now with all benchs turned on i get 4206 with 650/450 :) Now if you can answer me about one thing: if i put memory clock to more than 450 my driver crashes and i have to reboot to have normal proficiency, how could some people set the memory to 800 and to not crash on 3D Mark06??? If i put the memory clock higher (500/550 maximum) and i run UT3 is not a problem, driver is working good, but in 3D Mark06 is not working.
