zendel
so, the 177.92 drivers are overclock-able as the 169.04? I stick with 169.04 for 6 months now and works great with every game, i overclock to 600/450/1200 when i play and i had no problems... Same here, tried all the new drivers, nothing oc's except 169.04. Some of the others are slightly faster unclocked but won't OC when I want it so 169.04 it is for me as well. Guest ImaT
new to Over Clocking seems that with my HP dv9930 T5750 2.0GHz 4GB ram 8600M GS 512MB DDR2 Vista 64bit I am locked only to using 169.04 drivers cause of a bios lock just wanted to know what tests and settings everyone is using when getting 3DMark06 scores. NemesisHunter
Mine is BIOS locked, so I'm stuck with the 169.04 drivers for now to run my GeForce 8600m GS GDDR3 (yep, GDDR3). Stock settings CPU Clock 500MHz Shader Clock 1000MHz Memory Clock 700MHz = 3313 3dmarks (1024x768) Max OC Settings (stable in all games including Orange Box, COD4 and Bioshock) CPU Clock 700MHz Shader Clock 1400MHz Memory Clock 885MHz = 4387 3dmarks (1024x768). Only 72 degrees peak time (one hour of play tested). Not too shabby, eh? I love this laptop. The LG P300 is truly a beast among the 13.3" class of laptops, and it weighs a measly 1.6kg to boot.
