The new card is ATI M26P Type 1 Laptop VGA CARD. After having replaced the fan is always at the maximum. I also updated the bios of the notebook, but nothing has changed. What can I do? With gf6600 256mb type 2 from my 259en3 fan works great. bye p.s. x700 128 serial: UW p/n 84-UH 3003-00 AW p/n mobl-vid259EATIM26U Maybe i can reflash vga bios, but i can't find a bios to dump on x700. ciao I need haetpads for both vga can i buy it from mxm-upgrade? MainMan Posted September 26, 2008 Report Share Posted September 26, 2008 (edited) Hi there folks My problem is exactly otherwise - after gpu exchange (from original x700 to 8600m gs 256 ddr2) fan DOESN'T work !! (to be honest I'm not exactly sure if it was working before - maybe that's why x700 gives me artifacts (also in bios and 2d modes)). So I'm able to use my notebook only with external power supply connected to fan (fan itself it's working fine - but only with external +5V). Did any of you encountered similiar problem ?
