simpic
Hello, i downgraded my notebook (Acer 5520) to Windows XP. Now i'm finding for XP drivers but on NVIDIA site there's not any driver available. In fact when the site scans my notebook searching for my graphic card, it says that i have to download the driver from Acer site because it is a customized driver! How to solve this problem since on Acer site there is only Vista drivers??? I tried drivers that i downloaded from www.laptopvideo2go.com: it works but with some games like The Sims 2 it does not work! In fact i get a blue screen related to n4_disp driver! What could be the problem? What is the working drivers for my GeForce 7000M ? Thank you in advance and sorry for my english.

simpic
2) How you uninstall previous drivers? I'm using Driver Cleaner Professional... is it ok? 3) I bought DriverAgent account and it scanned this: Maybe have i to update NVIDIA and nForce drivers? They are very old! ...but where to find updates? 4) I installed 156.87 drivers and suddenly The Sims 2 crashed and i get a black screen! Other times i got blue screen and reboot. What does it mean? 5) I tried 167.58 drivers and while i playing The Sims 2 i get this error: D3DERR_NOTAVAILABLE!, then i pressed OK and the game get closed and the colors on my desktop changed to 4 bit!!! Now what is the problem? DirectX? I have 9.0c version... 6) With the same notebook with Windows Vista i have no problems running The Sims 2! Why? The drivers was: Is it possible to mod this driver and make it working with Windows XP? 7) I see here that it is suggested for my video card that i use a modded inf. Do you think i could solve the problem? If yes, what Modded INF i have to download? Thank you in advance for your reply! mel
dude, are you currently using vista or windows xp? or multi-boot? because those drivers I've been given you are for windows xp not for vista go here http://www.acerpanam.com/flex/acerdrivers/...FTOKEN=11090542 select notebook left side than on middle section select aspire 5520G and then right side select drivers go through it slowly vista and xp drivers are in there.... I was getting problems with windows vista with drivers available from laptopvideo2go only drivers I got to work on vista its was from Acer so I formatted and put XP used 156.87 or 167.58..... if you go to nvidia download drivers just select detect your motherboard should give you correct nforce chipset drivers.... you didn't have to use driver cleaner to uninstall drivers could have just use Nvidia uninstaller under vista go control panel- "Programs and Features" but you will need to uninstall all NVIDIA drivers from Vista if you are using it.. start all over again install nforce chipset drivers first than VGA Vista Drivers or XP if you are using it. On Acer site there is only drivers for Vista, and on NVIDIA site, if i select detect my motherboard, it says "Please contact your notebook vendor" !!! H E L P ! Guest Radament
Guys I came up with a solution how to stop this damn pesty BSODS. The thing that is causing BSOD actually isn't Display Driver it is our Sound Driver Realtek working with EAX ingame. This is easy solvable by either not using EAX or updating to newer Realtek version.
