Echo
Hey there guys. I've got a pretty simple question that I need answered, but I've been unable to find a definite answer here or really anywhere on the web. I know you guys deal mainly in laptops, but I figure there's got to be some desktop fanatic around here somewhere, right? :) Okay, so basically I need the best-performing driver for my XFX nVidia GeForce 8800 GTX. I've got a solid 4GB of dual-channel RAM, an AMD X2 5600+ processor, and an nForce 430 motherboard. The model of the computer is a Dell, although I've modded it a lot from when I bought it a few months ago; a Dell Inspiron 531 - N (the N just means it didn't come with an OS, as far as I know). Below you'll find a list of the drivers I've tried installing so far. I've put them in order from the fastest to the slowest (for me) from top to bottom Past Driver List: NOTE: This will be updated as I try out more. A bold faced driver means I'm currently using it. - 169.32 (Recommended by XFX) - 169.25 (Recommended by nVidia) So, if anyone could be of any help at all, that'd be great! :) Thanks in advance for the help. For any other informaton about the computer, you can see my profile bar on the right or more extended information in my profile. I forgot to mention that I am using Windows Vista at this time since my motherboard seems not to like XP all too much.
