Leonedas1
hello I purchased a HP Pavilion dv9535nr Laptop. The Specs of the Laptop are Intel Core 2 Duo 1.50Ghz RAM 2046MB Operating System Windows Vista 32-bit the Video Card is Nvidia GeForce 8600M GS 256 MB I am not sure what Drivers I should download to install for this Video card. Also would I have to unistall the previous drivers? How would I go about install the drivers? If someone can help me out that would be great. Also I was wandering if someone would know, But I am having some issues with my laptop. I formatted the drive and reistalled it to factory edition. Now it seems If I am on the browsing the Internet and have a movie running at the sametime after around 15 minutes the laptop would start to get very choppy. I look at the meter for the Processor. And it shows that the Processor is being used 100%. I have turned off the sidebar for Windows vista. But still seems weird. It is not like I do not have the ram. It also happens to Games too. When I first bought the laptop, I did not have this king of a problem. But when I formatted the hard drive. It seems like it is not working at the potential that it was at. can anybody help me? Thank You.
Darmdorf
Welcome to the forum Leonedas1. I would recommend that you study the pinned postings we offer in the FAQ/Drivers section. There you will find all the help you need in handling the replacement of your current video drivers. As you may have noticed, we can & will not recommend specific drivers for specific makes or models. Such a choice must remain in the hands of the individual user. We try to provide the background information to provide the user with a basis for a suite of choices, and a means to report back success and the experienced results so that other forum users may profit. It might be a good idea for you to begin directly with the recommendations in the Community Led Driver Recommendations-GeForce 8xxxM Series thread. As far as your experienced problem, I would guess you may have NOT reinstalled the newest versions of all the necessary drivers for your systems components and chip set after or during your recent reinstalls. It is in particular the chip set, sound, and network drivers which form the backbone for good system performance. You'll find references to them here in the forum and throughout the web. Happy hunting! Darmdorf
