Hi, I have a question about a tweak in display properties/settings/advanced/geforce4 440 go/performance & quality settings/direct 3d settings/more direct3d. Hope I didn't lose you :) I recently manually installed dell's 42.58s in my inpiron 8100 even though it's for the 8200 & others. These drivers have given me the best fps rates yet, even over Teraphys and Pieters excellent modded infs. (45.23,53.03)

Finally my question, how can I get -more direct3d- enabled with the -frames ahead-tweak also available, like in previous drivers :?: (this option does not show up at all for me) I believe the default frame rate is 3 frames ahead. I would like to change it to 0 because games like GTAIII play better for me personally.(less hesitation & stutter) If anyone can tell me what to enter and where to make this entry in the inf I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks & Happy New Year (Inspiron 8100-1.2GHz PIII-512RAM-Geforce4 440 64Mbs-XP)

Msl207,

Try either mine or Teraphy's INF (45.28, not sure if Teraphy does a 45.28).

We both don't have performance enhancing or degrading settings.

We just enable all the pages/settings.

My 45.28 INF can be found on my 'Performance' page on my site.

There is a clickable link with all my no longer updated INFs

Enjoy,

Pieter.

Hi, add the following:

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESOFTWARENVIDIA CorporationGlobalNVTweak]

"Coolbits"=dword:ffffffff

"NvCplEnableHardwarePage"=dword:00000001

"NvCplEnableAGPSettingsPage"=dword:00000001

Actually it's the coolbits setting, but the other 2 won't hurt.
