The latest official driver provided by nvidia is 169.28 beta, whilst MS update has provided 174.31. You can get both from the Community Forums. The 169.28 seems to work best for gaming for me. Download the driver and the modified inf (which enables you to install the driver for laptops), extract it to a folder and replace the inf file with the one you downloaded from this site. Then install. Remember to uninstall your old driver before installing the new one from control panel.

I have constant problems with this laptop (I have the same one) as regards to graphics. I have tried unistalling the old graphics drivers before installing new ones, and then use one of the driver sweeper programs to make sure everything is clean. However, when I boot back up, the driver files are back in there - I never had this problem with a desktop. As such, I'm having to install the new drivers over the old ones, but I don't think I have had a successful installation ever (apart from the official drivers provided by Toshiba, but I know that they are months out of date). Dreamscene no longer works, at it isn't a Stardock/Deskscapes problem, and I've started getting periodic black screens when playing Oblivion, which clear when I point the camera in a certain direction. I also get texture flickering in Dawn of War. All the other games (SupCom, C&C3, TDU, NFSCarbon, UaW, CoD4 and UT3 are a few), don't have this problem.

Any suggestions/insights?
