I have an Asus g1s with a 8600m gt GDDR3 graphics card. Everytime i try to update the driver the system crashes like the color is in lines in red green and blue. so the system reboots and i would have to go into safe mode to roll back the driver. The driver that is stable for me right now doesnt have hardware transform and ligthing. I was wondering if anyone else has the same problem and how they fixed it or how to fix this problem

thanks in advance

billy

i think it might be your power supply, it might not be big enough for your card..

it happens with desk tops so why not lappies also right?

they could have under estimated how much power it takes for the card.

does it do this when under a heavy load also?

if not then it is the card or the driver does not support your card.

i had a fx 5500 card and could not go up above the 163.75 driver with out the screen going all jaggies and black and different colors.

so one of these might be your problem.

good luck.
