mst8ken
Hi all, Just wanted to see if anyone else that has similar systems as i am getting very low Benchmark on 3dmark06 results. I ran a test the other day and got 4600. My specs are: Toshiba Satellite X205-S9349 Core? 2 Duo Extreme X9000-2.80GHz Processor with 6MB L2 Cache and 800MHz FSB 4GB (4096MB) DDR2 RAM (Intel® Turbo Memory: 1024MB) 240.0GB SATA HDD Space (2x 120.0GB 5400RPM HDD) 767MB NVIDIA® GeForce? 8700M GT (256MB DDR3 discrete graphics memory, plus up to 255MB dynamically allocated shared graphics memory using NVIDIA® TurboCache? technology) 17.0-inch WXGA+ (1440x900) TruBrite®TFT LCD Widescreen Microsoft® Windows® Vista Premium Another person suggested for me to downgrade to Windows XP as that can make a big difference on the total score. Any suggestions would be highly regarded. I will also try to update the graphic driver "nVIDIA ForceWare X 174.60 for Windows XP/2K 32bit" to see if that makes any difference. But one person who has the x200 has bench 6k score...which is really good for a 2.4ghz machine with 8600M GT card.
zipper
See here, what's the difference between the default drivers and newer ones on my Quadro 1600M (about the same as 8700M GT): http://forums.laptopvideo2go.com/index....showtopic=16561
JarlaxleBaenre
Wow, I'd like to know Your maths teacher. I always thought 256 + 255 is 511 :) As for the scores, yup, try working with new drivers. 174.70 are best IMHO. If not, check if any part of Your lappy is overheating.
