Rainbow Six: Vegas issues

Hi there,

I just got Rainbow Six: Vegas, but I'm wondering if something's wrong. According to SystemRequirementsLab.com I am well able to run the game (it's a bit odd that I have better hardware specs on recommended than minimum, but oh well). However, when I first started it up, everything was laggy, and I had to set the resolution and other graphics options down to a minimum to even make it run smoothly! I don't see how this is right.

That's not the worst part, though, I can live with crappy graphics. However, some of the textures and/or "dead" parts in the game (plants or objects you can't interreact with) have turned blueish. I don't know why this is, if it is because the resolution is so low, or if it's because some of the other graphics options are set so low or what, but I thought it could be because of old/wrong graphic card drivers?

IF this could be solved with new drivers, I would like to get some recommandations to what would be decent gaming drivers.

I have:

MultiNote HEL 80 computer

Genuine Intel® CPU T2600 @ 2.16GHz (dual core)

2 GB RAM

nVidia Geforce Go 7600

I do realize that my laptop may be a bit outdated for the newest games, but I honestly thought it would perform better, as I didn't think this game was that hardware demanding.

Anyway, thanks in advance for any advice and guidelines. :)

It's not your computer dude. I had the same specs on my older laptop and the game ran somewhat unstable. The developers didnt do a good job of stabablzing the framrate it jumps up and down everywhere. Even on my 8800M GTX it does that sometimes.

Aw, that's too bad. :) So there's nothing to do to fix this or even improve this? Except getting a much better computer? :)
