Memory size stored in INF?

The memory size in Nvidia's System Information screen is always incorrect when using modded INFs (both XP & Vista). Always show 512mb when I really only have 256mb (HP Pavillion 9500t, 8600M GS DDR2). But using HPs drivers yield's correct results. Is this some setting somewhere within the INF file?
