Guest Bering
Hi there. I have a Lenovo (IBM) 3000 N200 7series. It has NVIDIA GeForce Go 7300 and Windows vista 32 Bit as fabric. Nothing what so ever has been changed. - I have the newest drivers available from the Lenovo site. The problem is. I just got this new game, which should be very much able to run at this computer (since my crappy computer 4 years old, can run it.. well..hardly) And on my labtop, it cannot work at all. When I execute the game, it pops up with this message: The currently detected video driver version (nVidia display driver ForceWare release 97.59) is known to behave unstably with our game. It is highly recommended you update your video drivers to at least version nVidia display driver ForceWare release 169.21 or later. I tried to download it at NVIDIAS site. But when I tried to install it (the 32bit vista version) it said I needed Windows vista 32 to procees with this installation. (which I have but... why?) Also. Then I went to this page. I have tried out more than 12 drivers now. With no luck. I simply cannot find any driver at all, which atleast can get through the installation. Either it claims I do not have vista 32 bit, or the driver does not support my hardware I wrote a post with simmular problems at http://forums.lenovo.com/lnv/board?board.i...ies_Lenovo_3000 Where I recieved a link to this page. But now I ask for help inhere. Because I really want that game working :) I cannot live with the huge delay on my old computer.
hola
You can always force install by using the 'Have Disk' method in Device Manager > Display Adapters > NVIDIA GeForcce Go 7300 >(right-click)>Update Driver Software (point it to where your driver files are on your hard disk > show all devices and let me choose > choose a close match, a Go 7300/7400 or a desktop 7300). A modded inf from this site would also work with the main NVIDIA Setup program, but the above method is simpler and would keep the WHQL status for those drivers that have it, even when your card or card subtype is not directly supported. Pythagrean
Tried a force install and windows tells me that the driver I already have installed is the best choice. If I select the option "let me pick from a list of device drivers on the computer" all of the drivers I have installed show but when I select one it says that the driver is not compaitable with Windows Vista and I can promise you that I am selecting the Vista Drivers.
