Paralityk
Sadly very unstable for me, after about 2 mins of playing Assassin's Creed driver is restarting :/ However it shows very good performance (when works :) )
Exiyn
Very awesome driver. Alt-tabbing works very well. Temperatures are great. (Average about 53, max about 92 or so) A lot more stable, I've found, than .12... These are my favourite drivers so far for WoW / Hellgate / COD:4. :)
Guest nunopassarinho
Hi all. does anyone knows if these drivers with the modded .inf work well on a Asus G1 with a GeforceGo 7700 with 512 RAM? I've got the 174.74 and so far so good. My only concern is that these new drivers look like they are mainly desktop oriented and might not work well with laptop cards. Does it manage well the temps and all that stuff? Is it stable? Sorry for my english, i'm from portugal :) thanks
wasa
Has anyone tested this driver with bioshock? I'm new to this so I want to now if there is any danger that my gpu would get to hot when I use this driver? Thx
erst
Hello, I'm trying to upgrade the drivers that came with my notebook (174.51) to 175.16. I've extracted the drivers downloaded from NVIDIA and put modified INF there. The setup tells me that it is installing the drivers, but when I reboot, I still have the same old drivers. And I think there mast be some pop-up warning during installation about the unsigned drivers, which I did not have. The GPU in question is GeForce 9500M GS. Could you please help me? Thank you in advance.
Guest Guest
in my HP HDX 9250ET, when I try to install these drivers, it says "there is already a better driver" (or something like that) and does not . my driver is original HP driver (164.xx). Guest Mcgan69
Why this driver is not WHQL Certificate? On the Nvidia website, it is: http://www.nvidia.fr/object/winvista_x86_175.16_whql_fr.html
wasa
in my HP HDX 9250ET, when I try to install these drivers, it says "there is already a better driver" (or something like that) and does not . my driver is original HP driver (164.xx). I had the same message the first time I tried to install the driver. In the folder you find a setup file just double click on this file. It solved the problem for me. ®®®
Why this driver is not WHQL Certificate? On the Nvidia website, it is: http://www.nvidia.fr/object/winvista_x86_175.16_whql_fr.html Because we had this file a week earlier... while the WHQL certificate was still under testing. Nothing changed, it's the same driver, just approved "certified" to properly install.
radpilot
Hello to all. I have an LG C1 with a 7300 go card. I have two problems with the 175.16 drivers. When on battery, brightness changes by itself to full at random times. This happened with 174.74 also. It's a little a bit annoying say when you're watching a movie but brightness can be controlled by the Fn keys. The other one which I have solved is that screen rotation didn't work until I deleted the "rotateflag" key in the registry. These problems don't exist with the LG supplied drivers 156.8x but do have a nasty tearing problem when playing a video. That's why I installed the latest ones which solved the tearing. Any ideas with the brightness thing?
Nyghtspydr
Hey, I just downloaded and installed the 175.16 drivers, and I would like to know how to find if they installed properly or not. When i go to Device Manager it shows this: Drive Provider: NVIDIA Driver Date: 5/2/2008 Driver Version: 7.15.11.7516 Digital Signer: Not Digitally Signed Under the details, in the INF NAME section, it shows OEM38.inf (I think that is still the default driver) How can I make sure the new drivers get installed properly? I followed the QuickStart guide perfectly, and I even disabled my AntiVirus (norton) and closed all programs that were open. Can someone please help me figure this out? I really want to get these drivers installed. Thanks in advance. Specs: Vista Home Premium x86 (32-bit) 4GB System RAM 250GB SATA 5400RPM HDD nVidia GeForce 9500m GS (512MB VRAM) Nyght§pydr

Drekko
Well Nvidia just put WHQL Official Release 175.16 drivers. So I went and updated all files with the new OR files and zipped it. Tested the drivers on my laptop, they seem to work fine so far. The zip already includes Piefers modded INF Felt like posting it for anyone having issues with games not liking beta drivers. Sorry for the size of the file in advance, not very good at compressing stuff. http://www.megaupload.com/?d=GMHGYA97 There's the link enjoy
®®®
WHQL Official Release 175.16 drivers. So I went and updated all files with the new OR files and zipped it.... The zip already includes Piefers modded INF ???The driver from NVIDIA is the same we host. It only includes the WHQL certificate... which anyways is not usable with a modified INF. It's easier and faster to download our driver (as it's much smaller than anywhere else) and download the INF separately.
Guest Dark Schneider
I have a 8600M GT. I strongly recommend them, before I used the official Dell 173.xx, it has many advantages over 16x.xx: - Performance greatly improved (not using 3DMark but in real use, games, it increases many FPS and the greater Windows Vista exp. for Aero and Game). - More TV options, as size and position that in 16x.xx I don't see. Problem: - It launch the known nVidia drivers problem of 'nvlddmkm.sys' fail. With this 175.16 the 'nvlddmkm.sys' is solved. This driver is originally WHQL, so that I suppose is an advantage too, with mod INF it lose its WHQL but there is no problem (ignore Windows warning) as you know that files installed are WHQL in any case. I recommend download the driver from nvidia web site, use the options: Geforce -> Geforce 8 series -> Windows Vista 32-bit; yes, download this driver for laptops too, and simply overwrite the INF. About clock and temperature, I didn't notice change with any of driver I have used all this time, so I think that driver doesn't modify in any case the default clock speed, for that you need to install the 'NVIDIA System Tools' (in nvidia web driver download, after the 'search', go to bottom). So there is no need to worry about this in my opinion. As the 8600M GT is not likely that increase it functionality with new driver (is DX10 not DX10.1) I think with this you have driver forever if you own a Geforce 8000 series card, including the laptop ones. Guest artem
After uninstalling this driver (because after playing 40-60 min in Racedriver GRID fps dramatically drops and the only way to solve the problem - restart the laptop), I can't install 175.12 version (in which there is no such problem). So maybe somebody knows the solvation.
