P.J
I've same problem: Smooth AERO, but BAD Scrolling I'm %100 sure it isn't PowerMizer issue ! I've no problem with 177.73 (best 3DMark scroe + PhysX), but >177.73 xD I should disable/enable Aero everytime I hibernate/shutdown my lappy ! I also have 8600M GT DDR2 + 1680x1050. Yes, I've very bad scrolling performance in 1680x1050 ! PLEASE HELP ME !
Guest Guest
The Problem is not powermizer, It is Vista. Vista in fresh has power options on video to DOWNGRADE them by DEFAULT. Under control panel, mobile pc, Power options, change plan settings, advance power settings, PCI Express, Link state power management. Turn both of these options off, then reboot. Watch the scroll work again.

Claw
I got PowerMizer turned on and my clocks run at 80MHz, everything - even dreamscenes, run smoothly so laggy Aero is definately not PowerMizer related...

You have a 1280x800 display. The lagginess tends only to show up on higher resolutions, such as 1440x900 and 1680x1050.

P.J
Yes! Maybe it's a special problem in Vostro series ! Check the latest nvidia driver in dell website: 101.43 xD

kecinzer
Thanks P.J, I'll try it, because from Dell work for me only 101.19 version, but this is so old :) For other testers: http://support.euro.dell.com/support/downl...p;fileid=277435
AndiDi
Don't get your hopes up. I recently tried 178.24 with the modded inf but had no luck with it. It looks like it gets better but is nowhere near usable. -Andi
Guest Martinusbach
I have a HP dv5t laptop with a 9200m GS GPU and a 1680x1050 screen, and I was having similar problems: Aero effects worked fine, but scrolling in internet explorer (or Firefox) was terrible. But now I'm using 176.47, and the problem is gone!

P.J
Try using the origina dell inf "nvdm.inf" in additional_infs.zip It's still a big problem :)
kecinzer
Try using the origina dell inf "nvdm.inf" in additional_infs.zipIt's still a big problem :) And how can I do that? Because, there is nv_disp.inf, so I have to rename nvdm.inf, or leave in folder two this files?
zipper
Remove nv_disp.inf, nvdm.inf replaces it.
