vanzant
Hi all. I've tried doing a search for the HDX and 8800m GTS but not getting much, most have been about the GTX series. Anyway i've tried playing a few mmo's and standalone games and my framerates are shooting from 64fps down to 1 or 2. They vary depending on how many people are in a area and i've tried moving in-game settings around as much as possible. I've created a page file on my secondary hard drive and set it pretty high(which did help). I virtually terrible at knowing anything about vista drivers or video drivers period. Could anyone point me in the direction to a good INF file for the HDX or Pavillion series with the 8800 GTS? My system config: 2.8 Ghz X9000 3GB RAM 8800m GTS Vista 32bit Dual 240GB 7200RPM HD's Thank you in Advance for any suggestion!
Dox
i reccomend you use 175.16 with the modded inf provided for that. also remember your grahics card, although good, cant really play at a high resolution such as 1900x1200. U may have to admit defeat and turn down some graphics settings and your resolution to get a plyable framerate.

I have a 3+ year old XPS Gen2, with a 7800GTX, and everything I have thrown at it but Crysis and AoC runs fine in native 1920x1200. I also just bought the HDX and it smokes my XPS. Still has hard time with Crysis, but runs AoC great at 1920x1200. Some games are just very demanding, no matter what the recommended specs are. I had problems with NWN2 on a 6800ultra, which was recommended, that's why I upgraded to the 7800GTX.

Guest Toshi
I also have the Dragon with the 8800. Have you been successful with any of the drivers? I tried a couple of them, 175.16 up. Works fine except for the fact that I can't play bluray discs. I went back to the old HP driver since I rather have bluray playback than a couple of extra points in 3dmark. Hopefully HP will update the drives soon. I have a HDX core 2 extreme 2.8, 8800 GTS, 4gb ram and 2 x 250gb hdd.
