Nivalis
Okay, im running a Toshiba Tecra M2, and i have vista 32bit installed. I've seen on this forum alot of people were having the same problem as me, rundll32.dll crashing on boot because of the drivers failing, and the res being stuck too low. Well i've found a sort of fix for it. 1) install the latest vista 32 drivers from this site + the modded inf 2) reboot (it will still be broken at this point) 3) go to device manager and select 'update driver software' for the graphics adapter 4) Browse my.. > Let me pick my own.. 5) UNCHECK 'Show compatible hardware' 6) On left menu select NVIDIA, on right menu, select 'NVIDIA GeForce FX 5200 Ultra (Microsoft Corporation - WDDM)' 7) let it install the drivers and reboot. 8) Enjoy 32bit color at 1400x1050! This may work for other laptops with Nvidia FX 5200 GO cards, worth a try if you're out of options! Edited May 29, 2008 by Nivalis
