Guest eekamouse
I have had my HP zd8000 laptop for a couple years now. It currently has a P4 3.4ghz, 2 gigs of RAM, and upgraded 7200 rpm Harddrive. My real bottlekneck is the x600 (256MB) graphics card. I keep running across stories of people upgrading from x600-700s to x1600-1900 cards. I plan on cracking it open tonight (with a highly technical friend of mine) to see what we can see. Just wondering if anyone has any insight or experience here. Thank you.
NightWalker
I have owned two of these notebook and can 100% confirm that the X700 is soldiered onto the motherboard and ABSOLUTELY can not be upgraded. I have torn them completely down multiple times, they are a huge PITA so be ready for that if you decide to open it up. Sorry man.
