Guest Smith
I think you forgot the Modded INI :) He seems to forget that every single time he posts a new driver... such diligence

mobilenvidia
I think you forgot the Modded INI :) The driver file wont unzip anywhere, tried it on a vista and an xp system, same deal. He seems to forget that every single time he posts a new driver... such diligence Impatient and ungrateful for people who don't even bother to register. :P I live in the real world and it takes a little time to upload the drivers they take up 150+MB on the server :P The INFs also take a few minutes to make and then upload. Anywho, you can always go the 100's of other sites that specialise in free nV driver support :)
Guest jacobkorf
Thnx for your great work m8;) Don't even mention those stupid guys who doesn't understand why the .inf is always late... Keep up the great work!! The only thing i wonder is, are these interesting for geforce 8 series? (especially my 8600 GT 512 MB) Thnx in advance Jacobkorf
mobilenvidia
These are specifically designed for the GX2x0 and 780aSLi setups. But should work fine with any other GPU as well, including my go7900GS
nacary
i wonder if this driver is downclocking too :) anyone testing this?
oile
Not working at all on Vista 32-bit SP1... doesn't copy any file... 8800M GTX
mobilenvidia
Just tried it with x64 and forcing the install as a 8800M GTX installs just fine. You did also download the modded INF ? and replaced the original INF ?
alexnvidia
powermizer doesnt work on battery. remains in 2D mode regardless of what application you run. works on AC though.. Edited June 18, 2008 by alexnvidia
oile
yes obviously... I try to understand why it doesn't work but I'm not so skilful.. what do you mean with forcing the install? 8800M GTX is already in the modded inf..
Guest rhaegar707
ungrateful? I was just pointing out that it wasn't working. working fine now, thanks.
mobilenvidia
yes obviously... I try to understand why it doesn't work but I'm not so skilful.. what do you mean with forcing the install? 8800M GTX is already in the modded inf.. As I have a go7900 GS and not a 8800M GTX I can still force the driver installer to install it as a 8800m GTX. As the install works for me it should also work for you. But as I have found with my Wifes laptop her Quadro NVS120M won't install any of these newer drivers either. This is a driver issue, not sure why nV have done this. You may also be affected by this, did 177.26 work ?
mobilenvidia
ungrateful? I was just pointing out that it wasn't working.working fine now, thanks. Driver was still uploading, why it wouldn't unzip as you didn't have the whole zip :) Not getting at you personally, just a statement. I have to post the threads first before I can upload the drivers due to our driver packer and how it works.

Guest Shakey_Jake33
Getting quite sick of drivers that downclock on battery! Looks like I'll be stuck on 174.16 for a while.

Guest Guest
After a deep driver sweep It works but without the possibility to OC, only downclock.. This guy figured out how to disable the downclocking. Try it.. http://forum.notebookreview.com/showthread.php?t=261929
Guest Shakey_Jake33
That's a known workaround, but disabling Powermizer is not an acceptable solution for a laptop imo, since Powermizer is quite invaluable.
