Michael Marley
Sounds like it might be an overheating problem to me. What temperature is your card running at when you get the framerate drops? You can use a program like RivaTuner to find this out.
lonestar_zero
Core temp gets to 86 when lagging,, i also bought a colling pad with 2 fans to put behind my laptop today it works good but it aint solving my problem..
Michael Marley
86 does seem kind of high. You aren't overclocking, are you?

Guest Rivhan
i have had the same problem as you. the 8400m G would over heat and would cause the system to shut down during game play, even some times when not in game play but more often then not it would happen during game play. after this continued recurring i had formatted my whole system and reinstalled windows vista X86 business with Windows6.0-KB936330-X86-wave1 (sp1)
Michael Marley
I am so sorry. I slipped up when I was typing. I did not mean to assume you were overclocking. What I meant to say was "You aren't overclocking, are you?" Sorry.
Andrew55
Yeah, does the same thing on my gpu. Most likely driver problem. It's weird. But it doesnt happen all the time.
