Powersaving (downlock) delay

Recommended Posts

Hi,

I've run into a little problem after installing the 175.16 (WHQL, as downloaded on the nVidia site) drivers on my laptop. I modded the info to add the 8600M, as I always did with older drivers. I used the registry tweak for powerMizer under Vista to enable it (x3333) because I don't want the laptop to overheat (and trust me, it's not that well cooled), and have little to no performance loss by using it.

My problem/question is : Is there a way to adjust the time before the driver attempts to downclock the geForce ? (probably wia the registry editor ?) With my previous driver (174.93), it downlclocked itself after ~10 seconds, now I have to wait several minutes before it does. Hence, higher temperatures.

Thanks in advance for your answers,

Ice.
