Is this possible or not? Have anyone succesfully upgraded an acer 5520g with Asus MXM video card?

i remember you, you wanted to buy an 8600m gt form me for ur lappy

hey again XD, and im not sure, havent you read the topic where u asked me to make you a 8600m gt? it says the guy upgraded to 8600m gs so i guess its possible, but i have an hp lappy so i dont know. i wouldnt though, its a bit of a hassle more complicated than upgrading a desktop card

Just reading that thread myself. Wishing I had put in the extra cash and gotten myself an mxm card and slot instead of having these crappy integrated graphics!

I was upgrade my 5520g witg nVidia 9600 gt with 512 mb and works perfekt

I just tried upgrade my Ati Radeon 2400XT to GeForce 9600M GT (from Acer Aspire 7730g) in my Acer Travelmate 5520g and it doesn't work.

Cards are still fine :)
