has anyone had a performance problems with this card and vista 64bit with 177.41

I have problem with 32bit either vista or windows xp (dual boot) and avid

I have tried dozen of drivers (with their modded.inf), and everything is fine exept that on Avid I'm not able to see the timeline on play

the image is frozen when in play, and when I stop it refresh to the last frame

I'm quite desperate, I've tried really lots of them...

In some forum I read that someone has fixed similar problem editing the .ini files and enabling vmr...I am really scared to edit the register..anyone knows what to do?

Anyone could help me?

my specs

dell 1720

nvidia geforce 8600m gt 512 mb

OS: both windoes xp service pack 3 and vista home premium 32BIT

pleaseeeeeee

whats ur driver version?

i've tried many...

these are working well exept on avid:

169.09

162.18

174.31

now I'm trying to install an old one which is certified by avid (77.77 but I'm pretty sure it won't workout)

Infact it didn't

Now I'm installing 175.19

The point is that the drivers are ok, it's just that they would not let avid play... And I don't understand why...
