Guest Derb
Hi there, first sorry for my bad english, I'm from Italy :) I own a Dell Inspiron 9400 notebook with a Geforce Go 7900 GS card and I keep getting blue screens because of a partially broken video memory. Everything works fine (just finished CoD4 and Stalker) as long as I set the game details to LOW. It seems that the blue screens appear whenever I try to enable features that increase the usage of video memory, such as higher texture resolutions. I tried different tools to check my memory and they reported several errors, so I'm pretty sure it isn't a thermal problem. So I am curious if there is any possibility to limit the amount of video memory that the card is using (i mean the video memory on the card, not the shared memory) I hope that whith such a solution the BSODs would disappear and I would be able to increase the detail level to a higher level. best regard, Derb
Andrew55
That seems to be a driver problem or overheating gpu, not 'partially broken video memory' if such a thing exists.
