Nvidia 8600M GT XPS issues

First let me say I'm not a computer expert my any means. My issue is this. I have had my XPS 1530 for a month and a half. I had no issues with the laptop playing COD4 until I had to reload Vista due to stupidity on my part. Since I reloaded Vista the computer overheats and shuts down whenever I play COD4 and SWAT4. I presently have the following driver for my video card: 7.15.11.7957. I have been reading over the discussion boards and see that different drivers may not work right for different cards. First, is this the right driver? If not, which one is right or which one may resolve my issue. According to the Tech help at Dell, I need to return my computer for and replace the motherboard, processor, heatsink/fan and thermal pad. Just looking for some ideas, because I'm presently in Afghanistan and my computer is the window to the outside world.

Thanks,

What are your gaming temps like?

When I ran diagnostics on fans they were 104c and 105c,

Error Code "4600: 021E CPU internal processor temp: critical

Error Code "3900:0626 Temp sensor out of range, tmep:104c, min=10c max=100c

when i tried running video corruption the system shut down. tried running it several times and everytime the computer would shut down

Thanks for the response

Hey just hit the Dell support and downloads page, pick your model, which iwll be the xps 1530 obviously...and there is a new bios version out there A09, supposed to help with some heat issues...maybe, haven't fully tested though, will later when girlfriend leaves me alone online.

105 is really hot though. If the updated bios doesn't help then ring dell.
