Geforce 9600gt with 177.79, fan going at full blast

Hi

I just tried to install the new 177.79 for my acer 5930 with geforce 9600gt.

Innstallation went perfect, but seconds after innstallation, and after reboots (just when windows is loading drivers) The fan goes wild and stays at top speed.

I cant adjust the fan speed in the nvidia control panel either since its "grey".

Anyone got a solution for this? :)

Try rolling back your driver and reinstalling it. I just installed it with a 9500GS and I didnt get that problem.

Is nBitor the NVIDIA Bios editor program? I googled it and this is what I came up with: NBitor

Having trouble using any editor or program to control fan speeds and clock speeds on this computer. The Acer download site was finally up again so I reinstalled the old drivers for now.
