podfish Posted August 11, 2008 Report Share Posted August 11, 2008 I tried to run DiabloII on the new laptop, and it complained it didn't have DX installed. I installed DX9c and also installed the newest driver from Dell. DXDiag is telling me that this machine has no hardware acceleration for DX or even DirectDraw! The error message says to get a driver from the manufacturer. Dell's tech tells me to use PC-restore which seems way too drastic, especially since it's no guarantee that I'll have DX working after that! any ideas??
