Acer 5920G with 8600GS: GPU Problems

Well the title tells it all...tried clean install, uninstalling Acer software, updating ALL drivers, nothing.

Things especially get bad when I play music & a video game together, sounds like corrupt data is being processed, only thing that has solved this problem is using NO video drivers...but yeah, this is clearly not a viable solution.

Also when this happens the CPU spikes, both cores, video slows down, etc.

Turning off ?Home Theatre? in Realtek sound options helps but I think only because no audio data processing is happening, my opinion is that somewhere data is getting corrupted, video resources show no conflicts. Unfortunately this is beyond my technical understanding of computers, hopefully someone in these forums can comment.

Solution, even ideas appreciated
