broken card? 9400 gt

hi, I hope someone can help me.

I am installing a 9400 GT, Lo profile card into a machine and when the card is plugged in and booted up the card is displaying incorrectly, using the standard vga drivers for windows vista 32 bit.

If the correct drivers are installed then the computer will not boot up at all.

I have included some pictures taken of the display and would welcome any comments, is the card broken and should I get a replacement, I have tried this in two machines and it is happening on both.

Many thanks

Chris

Does it show the startup splash screen OK ?

If this is corrupted then the card is most likely bad

No even the text upon boot is not displayed correctly, so do you think that it should be returned?

kind regards

No worries, if the BIOS splash screen = bad then there is little hope.

Windows only corruption usually means driver issue.

Aero corruption issue usually means 3D accel issue.
