Guest Rothmans
Hi there, I seem to have a weird problem on my ASUS Z83T. I used to run Win XP and installed Windows Vista 32bit as dual boot. On the machine a Geforce Go 7600 is installed. Under vista I installed the latest vista drivers (with updated INF file). If I play a DVD under vista the screen is real pixelated. I use a 900*1400 resolution. Strange thing is that under XP the same DVD looks great. I guess the software "upgrades and smoothes" the lower resolution on the DVD. It seems vista does not, it just (roughly) gets the low resolution and then those pixels will be like 2*2 pixels under vista. Doesn't matter if i user Media Player, Power DVD or VLC mediaplayer, all have the same result onder windows vista. Anyone have an idea how to fix this? Michael Marley
What DVD decoder are you using? Under Vista, I find that both Vista's integrated decoder and the CyberLink PowerDVD8 software function properly.
Guest Rothmans
What DVD decoder are you using? Under Vista, I find that both Vista's integrated decoder and the CyberLink PowerDVD8 software function properly. How can I tell witch decoder i am using (are you referring to codec?) As far as I know I have not installed any decoders besides installing CyberLink PowerDVD and having a clean vista install. Any tips/help is very appreciated!!
