Hi, I'm with Acer 5920G and 8600M GT DDR2.

What I'm asking here is what is the best MXMII card i can get type II and compatible with my acer?

Thanks, Eduardo.

9600M GT, but its pretty much the same as the existing 8600M GT just clocked a little higher.

I saw them selling for about US$300 on ebay so they're really not worth it for a 5-10% increase in speed.

exactly, just overclock your 8600m gt then you probably will get even better performence, ahahah. from desktop line of the 9XXX series is only the die size and difference in power effciency, as for notebook series, most of the cards are actually still some 8XXX series rebranded such as the 8600m gt to 9500m gs and 8700m gt to 9650m gs.

cheers,

I just got a GeFrog 9600 GT with 512MB DDR3 for 220?. Is that a good deal ? Is that a "rebranded" 8xxx card ? How can I find out ?
