Guest Guest
I hope these aren't as buggy as the last 180 drivers.
Guest Guest
I am not able to select 32-bit colors on my machine with this driver. My graphics card is a nVidia Quadro NVS 140M.
Guest AnimaL
I can't install these. I get an "Access is denied" error message. Running a Gateway P-6831 FX with an 8800M GTS. Done the usual uninstall and driver clean before installation so totally clean system. Forcing 8800M GTX also returns same result. Any ideas? Sounds like "Access Is Denied" means you don't have Admin rights in your XP/Vista user account. Log on as an administrator and it'll work fine. Doug2h
180.10 gpu-7447 cpu-20553 3DMark Score-8859 180.42 gpu-7551 cpu-19847 3DMark Score-8935 Notice colors aren't as vibrant as they were in 180.10. Digital Vibrance 0% on both. Still a nice driver. :)
Guest Spark
1. Ran Driver Sweeper 2. Downloaded both 180.42_geforce_winvista_64bit_international_beta.exe from Nvidia and the Driver Pack hosted here 3. Unpacked both to different folders and replaced the .inf with Modded .inf 4. Got the Access Denied No Files Modified Errors (Yes, I am an Administrator) from both installations running setup.exe or forcing install from Device Manager 5. Rebooted in Safe-Mode [F8] 6. Driver installed fine
Guest AnimaL
Yeah my account is an admin account too. So safe mode install solved it for you. I wonder why as I've never had to boot into safe mode to install a driver before. Must be something to do with the 180 series maybe? I'll give safe mode a go anyway. Toobster
I installed this on my Vista 64 bit and managed to get two BSODs! Not bad. I thought that wasn't even possible on Vista. :) I reinstalled the 178.15 instead.

Guest beerbaronstatic
Installed these on my 9800gtx+ last night, ran City of Heroes. These drivers disable aero when I launch that game, never seen that before. Went back to 178.08 and Aero stayed up again.
Timboj
Hmmm, mixed result. On one hand, they've fixed a flickering issue (when changing resolutions) my laptop has had with every driver since I bought it AND I can finally use PureVideo to watch DVDs instead of CPU decoding. It used to completely s**t itself and BSOD me. On the other hand, it's done weird things to my Vantage scores. 177.92 - P8203 X2828 178.13 - P8172 X2768 180.42 - P8756 X2410 As you can see, my 'Performance' score has shot up, but my 'Extreme' score has dropped significantly. That was the best I could score out of 3... Weird, no? Anyone else?

Guest Dane
I just got these drivers and I can't run anything in dx10 anymore, I have to put -dx9 in front of games or they just boot up into a black screen with sounds working fine. I have a sager 8660 with a 9800GT. Anyone have an idea what could be causing this? I had the same problem with the 178.13 drivers.

Guest michael
I can't seem to install any of the 180xx drivers under Vista 64 on the new MacBook Pro (GF 9600M GT). It always displays the error "The driver selected for this device does not support Windows Vista". I'm using these details for the card: %NVIDIA_G96.DEV_0647.1% = nv4_NV3x_Mobile, PCI\VEN_10DE&DEV_0647&SUBSYS_00B0106B %NVIDIA_G96.DEV_0647.2% = nv4_NV3x_Mobile, PCI\VEN_10DE&DEV_0647&SUBSYS_00A9106B NVIDIA_G96.DEV_0647.1 = "NVIDIA GeForce 9600M GT" NVIDIA_G96.DEV_0647.2 = "NVIDIA GeForce 9600M GT" -- but I can't verify those are correct for Vista 64. I got them from here: http://tomkarpik.com/articles/enabling-har...ld-macbook-pro/
