I installed it and then the screen turned black and then goes to the screen and frozes and then turns black again and then the screen turns off and the cpu fan goes on median speed. Mushu Posted November 7, 2008 Report Share Posted November 7, 2008 (edited) They might want to use these drivers because of HP made it which means the fans might run better and SmartDimmer works there. I don't use it, this is what the HP ITRC forum folks just said when I asked why they suggested old drivers. :) I myself think the newer drivers work better.
