farmerlee
Wow this driver works great. Performance has increased substantially, the game runs better now than it does on XP, easily playable at max settings with 1920x1200 resolution. Thanks a lot! Guest Ian Chivers
Crashes my Dell Vostro 1500 (8600MGT) while not in FarCry 2. Also in FarCry when set to DirectX 10 there is serious mouse lag, had to revert to DirectX 9. WIll upgrade as soon as new drivers become available. Tyrone Slothrop
Has anyone noticed that the Windows Experience Index (Start -> Control Panel -> Classic View -> Performance Information and Tools) doesn't run with Vista x64 and v180.43? On my computer, it fails silently after checking disk performance. When I check the Event Viewer (Start -> Control Panel -> Classic View -> Administative Tools -> Event Viewer -> Windows Logs -> Application), I see the following two errors: "A request to disable the Desktop Window Manager was made by process (2756)" followed immediately by: "The Desktop Window Manager was unable to start because composition was disabled by a running application" Anyone else experience this? Could anyone else running v180.43 also try running Windows Experience Index and tell us what happens for you? Is this a case of nVidia outsmarting WEI? Guest Squints
I don't know why, but on my Alienware m9750, It forces me to go into SLI mode now. Far Cry 2 performs breat and I don't mind it, but when I tried playing Team Fortress 2 or any other source engine games, the frame rate drops sinifigantly with SLI on. I tried playing TF2 with the SLI Disabled, but every time I try, the whole computer will lock up once I enter a Server. I also tried playing Far Cry 2 without the SLI and it crashes the program. Its as if the driver disabled the no SLI option. Guest Guest69
I cannot get these drivers to install... period?!?! I have tried... 1. Remove Old Drivers through Add/Remove Programs 2. Reboot in to Safe Mode 3. Run Driver Sweeper 1.5.5 4. Run CCleaner 2.13 5. Reboot in to Normal Mode 6. Extract drivers to archive folder 7. Replace stock .inf with one from LV2Go 8. Run Setup.exe as Administrator I have also tried removing the PhysX.exe and PDSetup.exe files from the archive folder (saw this suggestion over at Guru3d). I even tried installing the driver in Safe Mode, and manually updating the driver in Device Manager. I have also tried taking the stock .inf and only adding the extra device ID strings. I have even tried to uninstall my 'standard VGA' drivers in Device Manager and rebooting. Nothing seems to work...?!?! This is killing me.......... Does anyone have any suggestions? -Thanks Note - Vista x64 and GeForce 8500GT SLI

Blame Tom
This driver definitely doesn't like my 7950 GX2. It installs ok but after rebooting the system, once you go past the windows logon screen, you just get a black screen and a mouse pointer. Not much fun, had to boot into safe mode to roll back the driver to 178.24, thankfully everything is back to normal now.
Andrew55
It is likely that people will experience problems like this as these are not 'official' drivers so to speak and fixes will have to be made.
