8600GS and restarts

hi, i have bought brand new geforce mxm 8600 to my fsc xi 1554 and it don't works, it restarts laptop again and again there is no logo on the screen it take 2-3 s to reset , one time after a few inserts graphic to mxm slot logo has showed up but i have no coler at it and i had to turn of laptop.

the card is new,

Have you flashed/ re-flashed your BIOS?

Also what card did you have previously?

i had radeon x1900 ,6800 for tests

8600GS should works without any bios updates?

Re-flashing your BIOS would be a good idea even though other cards have worked wihtout doing this. Try this and see, if not then I can offer something else.

Yes, after reading the first post again I am now considering this possibility. Have you tried re-seating the card. It may help, if not then maybe your card is damaged. I'm not particularly good at MXM, but this may help.

Flash your laptop motherboard with alienware 1.19w bios or with fujitsu 1.25 bios.
