Bandes
Hi Folks! I bought an ASUS 8600m GT 512MB MXM II card(Model: 90-C1CIZ5-JXBN00Z), and was trying to reflash it, but i could not make it until now, because the laptop just cant get into booting. Instead it keeps rebooting after 5-7 seconds. I have been making some research what i could do with the BIOS of the laptop, so it can boot rightly, and found this program called Phoenix Bios Editor. It revealed me some hidden options in the BIOS which are unavailable to be set otherwise. This was the factory setting of the BIOS, I changed everything here regarding Errors To Ignore and Errors To Wait On, so it should get into booting whatever error it is detecting. Reflashed/Uploaded the new BIOS to the laptop, but nothing changed at all. It still just keeps rebooting :) So I cant use this new card until today.. Do You have any ideas ? Thanx! Bandes
So, the card has been reflashed, now it has Acer VBIOS, and it was working in an Acer Aspire 5710G. But still not working in Amilo Pi 1536. update: possible with a false bios (acer p407 or so instead of acer p555) the card is asus p555 being reflashed to acer p555 will see if it will work now.. Bandes
Hey, how did you get your hands on the acer vbios ?I am looking for a vbios for my nvidia 9600. Hi! Sorry for my late answer, but i wasnt here around for a while.. A friend has an Acer 8600 GT from ebay, he saved the BIOS from it, which came out is exactly the same as this one : http://www.techpowerup.com/vgabios/10049/A...512.070920.html By the way the ASUS 8600 GT does not work either with this ACER BIOS, so i am f*cked with this C90 card, as it seems now, it cannot be used with any BIOS in Amilo Pi 1536. Strange.. My 8600M GT works fine in Amilo Pi1536, though I don't remember if it is Asus or Acer... Perhaps your card IS faulty ? EDIT: mine is Acer, BIOS 60.84.41.00.18 Edited November 21, 2008 by wojtek_pl
