Latest Drivers for Geforce Go 7950 GTX?

Hi all...

I'm trying to find the latest version of drivers that will work with the Go 7950 GTX. I've been using ForceWare 86.63, which was the latest I could find from Sager or Power Notebooks, but these drivers are a bit old. I can't find anything that'll work. I tried using 177.66 earlier with the modded .inf file (since it included the Go 7950 GTX) but it didn't work. It seemed to install fine but I couldn't change the resolution from 640x480/4bit. I'm a bit lost at this point.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

TIA!

Try the 177.92 with the modded inf. This should work.

Thanks for the reply. Unfortunately this didn't work either. Same thing... stuck at 640x480/4bit.

Actually I got the 177.92 to work. My mistake was just upgrading. I uninstalled and reinstalled and they worked fine. I'm tempted to try 180.43 or 178.26 now though! :)

Good to see your problem has been resolved! I never really heard of that problem before.

Well there's one issue that I'm looking at now. The screen won't turn on after closing the lid and putting the laptop to sleep. When I open the lid, it stays off. I'll keep an eye on this.

UPDATE: Yeah, there's an issue. Apparently the video driver stops working and it sets back to 640x480/4bit and I can't change anything. All I can do is reboot. I need to find a fix for this.

Maybe this helps. Found this at some forum.

This is probably too late but I had the same problem with my GeForce 6200 and fixed it by going into Control Panel>Display Properties> Settings>Advanced>Troubleshooting and once I turned my hardware acceleration all the way down I was able to change back into 32 bit 1024x786. I turned the hardware acceleration back up and it is still working fine.
This has been solved awhile. It was actually the monitor that was the problem. I put a different monitor on and everything worked fine.

You can change system behaviour when closing lid in power management options.

Tried the later drivers and sleep mode still doesn't work. I found some old topics regarding this but they were all started (and ended) over a year ago. I'm not sure what else to do/try to get sleep mode working.

UPDATE: Hibernate doesn't work either, but "Do nothing" does work.
