Yet another best 8400m gs driver Q

I havn't updated my drivers for a while now and it seems like most of the latest drivers are for the new cards

i just have a quick question on best drivers for the 8400M GS 256mb today?

i here its v162.22 but any other suggestions before i go ahead and install them? as i will be downgrading my drivers to

go to these ones.

And yet another best 8400m gs driver answer: There are only best drivers for a particular purpose but I guess you can try the 178.24 if you wish. Hope this helps.

Yer sorry i hate asking these questions but i was just about to install them drivers after a bit of reading. I understand drivers are good for some things and not others and switching changes this.

Just needed a quick reply as am strung for time lol.

maybe these bench's can help you:

3DMark06 (1028x800, no AA) results:

177.66: 2826

177.70: 2844

177.73: 2847

177.79: 2848

177.83: 2851 (version with 177.79 inf)

177.83: 2847 (version with 177.83 inf)

177.89: 2848 (without ogl3 and physx)

177.92: 2851

177.98: 2850

178.13: 2851

178.24: 2851 (Dox's Version)

179.13: 2849

180.42: 2870

180.43: 2857 (Dox's Version)

but made them with a 8400gt on WinXP

lol with a different gfx and a different OS ? hehe thanks for the post tho :)

I do have a further question however. I have installed, Fresh installed might i add 2 different versions of drivers

i am currently using 178.24 but why is it every time i restart vista my desktop res is going down to the lowest resolution

its not remembering or saving the res i am setting?

can anyone point me to the right thread ? or explain whats up.
