Forceware 180.70

Dox

Recommended Posts

Latest version of my fat free optimised drivers out.

Supports mobile users only.

Based on 180.70.

[update 3]

Seems like the nvmctray error only effects some users and possibly just xp64

I've also got a XP 32 out just incase :)

If you get issues with nvmctray i.e error message when not gaming in default resolution this version.

I've release a "hotfix" version which adds nvmctray as well as some very very minor changes to the optimsations (3d perf will be same)

XP_180.70.1

XP64_180.70.1

[update 2]

After hours of testing I cannot find a fault wiht the XP drivers.

I do not get the nvmctray error. So no updated version will be provided.

I recommend you fully clean uninstall your previous drivers and try again.

Any other users expriencing this?

[update]

XP: you make get an error and games may fail to play, with an error for nvmctray/ you may not.

will be fixed when I can.

Virus Alert with TrendMicro

false positive.

use AVG or avast to scan :)

me too. My Dell Vostro 1310 with 8400gs does't wake up as well

please read the "Read Me" file thats included in the installer.

Basically I cannot guarantee basic functions you are used to with your manufacturer drivers in mine.

In this case waking up from sleep.

I dont have this problem BTW.

A little speedier (or should I say clearly) than default 180.70 but 3DMark Vantage crashes on CPU test "warming up" just like 180.20 did.

I'm going to try these out but none of your previous drivers worked with Timeshift. I hope these does.

Nice one Dox, thanks very much.

Some people shouldn't expect these drivers to fix their existing problems, like not having a decent AV or sleep mode etc.

My hibernate disappeared, did you something to it - had to launch it again via powercfg.

wierd.

I woulnt know how to disable hibernation through drivers.

Only thing I can think of is a side effect of the nvidia service optimisations.

which seems unlikey.

Your driver seems to be a good overclocker, tried with 3DMark06 and got the best result so far.

What driver were you using before this Zipper?

Hey DOX would you recommend going the safe mode route with driver cleaner or just uninstall then install or install straight over the previous drivers. I am so sick of doing the safe mode bit and a lot of people I know install straight over and they say its all fine and dandy. For the record every time I have ever installed drivers I uninstall then driver sweeper in safe mode then restart then install then restart...

I have been having problems with my laptop where I get a BSOD that says the nvlddmkm thing and I can't get into windows no matter what I do (safe mode, regular, last known config) and I am beginning to think driver sweeper may have a hand in this as when my drivers are installed I can play for hours on end so I know my vid card isn't bumming out.

Anyways just thought maybe you could put some insight into this situation...

BTW Vista 64 here

I always clean uninstall my drivers.

Since I removed some of the "fat" from the drivers, I feel its safer to uninstall if you have used normal drivers then going to mine.

this ensures that no left over files are clashing with mine and hence conflicting with what I am trying to achieve with these: fat free optmised drivers.

if going from my drivers to my newer driver, safe mode and driver sweeper is not necessary.

its up to you though :)

And as expected, Timeshift doesn't work.
