supajupa
Hey! I was wondering is it possible to overclock my laptop's CPU and/or GPU? or even Memory Here's my specs: Intel Core2Duo T8100, 2100MHz nVIDIA GeForce 8600M GT 256mb (GPU Geometric Clock: 475MHz, GPU Shader Clock: 950Mhz) 2*1GB - 2048MB (DDR2-667 SDRAM) Motherboard Chipset: Intel Crestline-PM PM965 --- I don't know overclocking techniques myself, so if it's possible to tweak my machine somewhow any help'd be appreciated :)
Morris
CPU and ram is almost impossible, GPU is easy, try rivatuner, ati tools or ntunes.
supajupa
okay, but how does GPU clocking work? I mean if i increase my tact, will it stay in that clock after next reboot etc? What about cooling? As i understand laptops' components are pretty on their top with cooling
Claw
I mean if i increase my tact, will it stay in that clock after next reboot etc? You can set that in RivaTuner. What about cooling? As i understand laptops' components are pretty on their top with cooling You'll need to control your temps, your GPU can withstand around 120 degrees but 100 is already too high and unhealthy for your card.
