Hi!

About a year ago i bought my laptop. It is a HP Pavillion DV6660EV.It had windows Vista Home premium on it and then i install the XP pro SP3.

For GPU i used the 156.55 drivers version.Yesterday i downloaded and installed the 181 with the modded inf file. For my surprise after the restart my resolution was 640x480 with 256 colors! :) I tried many versions 17x.xx with the same problem! The system recognised the gpu but the resolution can't be changed!!! Anyone knows what is going on or a solution to this problem.

Thank you in advance.

Such an old driver leaves remnants that interfere with new drivers causing unexpected errors so driver cleaning is a necessity (for me preventing overclocking).
