markrobw Posted January 5, 2009 Report Share Posted January 5, 2009 I have a Dell Inspiron 1720 with Nvidia 8400m GS (128mb), Vista Home Premium 32. I have been trying to update the drivers to anything higher than 175.97, the ones posted by Dell. Installation goes fine with 179.28 from Nvidia or 180.84 (with modded inf) from this site. However, I completely loose any 32 bit color modes and therefore Aero in the process. Is there a trick to get 32 bit color back? Am I missing something obvious?
