Cannot get drivers working on Inspiron 9300 - Geforce 6800 Go

Hey,

I've got a Inspirion 9300 with a Nvidia Geforce 6800 Go, for some reason now that i've reinstalled the O/S, I cannot get the video drivers working from the dell website. When I downloaded the 185.20 drivers and also replaced the modded INF "nv4_disp.inf" file in that folder it still gives me the following error message:

Cannot Install this Hardware

The hardware was not installed because the wizard cannot find the necessary software

Click back if you have installation media such as a CD-ROM or if you know the location of the software.

i've also tried the other method of going directly to "Have Disk" and get the following message/error:

The specified location does not contain information about your hardware

SO, I'm currently at a lost as I'm not even sure what to do next, i've search all over and cannot find any drivers that will work, currently the o/s i'm using is windows xp home sp2
