Sorry, the new one didn't solve my problem of resolution on my 9800M gts even with old res settings (balance settings). It's strange because the 180.84 works perfectly.

I forgot to mention, I'm on the Windows 7 beta which may be causing the problem.

I was the Dell XPS 128mb 8400m GS.

I have these lines in my bal.inf, do I have to change something in order to set my res up to 1920*1200 ?

Gutted that you're discontinuing XP64 support, as it's by far the best OS out there at the moment. All the benefits of XP, but with support for 4GB+ RAM. It's a royal shame that the OS gets overlooked because of a previous bad reputation that has no relevence to the OS in it's current state. I'll have to try and find an alternative for XP64 drivers in future.

Nevertheless, huge thanks for your support with previous releases!

First off, THANK U DoX. U R AweSome :) . Just installed the driver and o/c'd at 600/500 on vista 64, and I was surprised by the stability it provided. I haven't done any benchmarking yet, but I did test it with RthDribl for stability purposes, I hit 92 degrees while working all perfect on my laptop. And the interesting part with this version is that during the test it doesn't downclock unlike the previous ones. and when the test was done powermizer did the trick downclocked and got my graphic card cooled off to 60-62. :)

Thanks!

well I have to say I'll get back to your previous driver. Lost some points at 3dmark06 (which I don't mind), and my games won't work that perfect anymore... have more glitches in gta4 than on 180.84, left 4 dead got a huge frame drop. Dunno if it's really driver related, but I get back just to be sure.

One more thing to add, for me on Win7 beta it didn't want to install unless I tried in Safe Mode!

Also my friend tried it out on his desktop system and performs worse than previous stock drivers. But of course this is mainly for laptops and I get far better results than before with my 8600GS, so thanks again :)

I would just like to say thanks for these optimised drivers Dox!

I found that I get much better and consistent performance with these than I do from the official Nvidia Beta (newly released) mobile drivers.

Keep up the ace work.

Install ran smooth as silk on my M1730, XP SP3, 8800M GTX SLi. I run with 24" DEll external monitor as well. Both laptop and external monitor picked up their 1920 x 1200 resolution without a hitch. I usually have to wait for your mods inasmuch as for some reason, other Laptopvideo2go mods do not pick up higher resolution. So my gratitude for your fine work.

Thanks for drivers! Updated from modded INF 181.00 driver to this Dox one. Uninstalled old one, used driver sweeper and installed new one. But now I get an error when I load Windows or change resolution:

RUNDLL

Error loading NvMCTray.DLL

The specified module could not be found.

Hi All.

First of all, let me just say thanks for DOX for this awesome driver, definitely noticing a good lift in game performance.

just had one question / concern.

Under load my 9600m GT is reaching temps upwards of 80c ... is this normal temp for this card?

Was also wondering if there's any possible way of enabling fan control with this driver as it doesn't really seem that the fan is cranking as hard as it should.

Thanks heaps :)

Steve

Well I installed Vista x86 version of my Windows 7 32-bit beta and its working great. It might even be better than the Dox 180.84 i was using on my XP which is wonderful i think. I only tried it on L4D. Also Balanced option was the best for me as first I tried Quality but it was not good for my old 7900gs but balanced works great.

hmmm What's better? 181.20 dox or 185.20 in terms of performance? Anyone got a clue? I don't want to use subpar drivers if this one aint as good as 185.20

BSOD before logon with a 7600 Go. Your last version has been working flawlessly so far, so I've switched back for the time being.

W7 should be able to use vista drivers but DOX reports that I don't have the right os when I go to install, 181.20 vista forceware works fine.

I'd like to test my drivers on win7 and see if the installer works, but I'm afraid my tools that I use to mod my drivers will not work on there as well since its beta,

and I'm not a fan of dual booting,

I know if something run on vista it should run on 7 so installer should be ok.
