Guest Hansophobia
I have a problem running Left 4 Dead on my Lenovo Thinkpad T61p. I have a 570m Nvidia card, and 2 gigs of memory, plus I run Vista 32bit and have 2.4Ghz (Intel). It says that I fail to create the D3D device, just as it seems to say to others. Although, I can't run the game in windowed mode, as I can't get the game to start at all, and even adding what most have, -w 1280 -h 800, still doesn't address the problem. Do you know of a way to fix this? Thanks guys!

Garbage_Bear
I had that problem on the exact same computer. . . you running Dox's optimised drivers? cuz if you are. . .and you set it to performance. . .no Source Engine game will work. . . you either have to have it on balanced or quality setting.
